Symbolic People Community for Community
A City of Wanneroo volunteer group is giving more than usual back to the community.
Not only are the volunteers in the Wanneroo Community Men’s Shed giving up their time, but they are learning new skills to refurbish donated computers, which are then sold to community groups and individuals in need.
The money from the sales goes towards software, insurance, equipment and tools.
A room at the City’s Hainsworth Centre in Girrawheen
has been transformed into a true ‘Men’s Shed’ -
with workbenches brimming with tools ready to tackle various computer parts.
For application forms or to find out more information on being part of Men’s Shed call the Community Development Officer
on 0417 133 796.
